Why suddenly no output from Persee?

This was a shocking experience, a nasty wakeup on a Monday morning. My Persee doesn't work! My Astra Pro is busted! Is this some sort of strange April Fool's joke? It isn't funny!

No data streams available on any device. Development stopped. Testing stopped. Inspirational flow for high-speed coding gone. Whoohoo!

After verifying it is indeed a device independent issue and after trying the binary sample for Windows, I checked the log file Astra Pro produced (astra.log in the runtime folder): ERROR [astra] Body Tracking Error: 0x60007033 Orbbec Body Tracking trial expired. Please contact Orbbec support.

So now I remembered! The trial SDK 2.0.8 was offered for free until the end of March 2018. Makes sense. Then, how can I buy the full license?

A quick look on the forums revealed that indeed the global free license period has expired.

The surprising part is that I don't see any Buy button anywhere, which I was hoping to see and especially click. In the forum posts it is mentioned there is a slight delay in launching the full paid version of the SDK, so I suppose I'll have to wait. Also, I have to cancel one demo day... Well, you cannot win every time even with Orbbec which so far has been such a pleasant platform to work on.

Just mentioning in case some are wondering... Orbbec does offer support to anyone needing immediate assistance. I thought it is least amount of work for everyone if I just postpone my demo.

Cheers!
